New Beginnings

I know it's been a while, but here's another post. School is starting back up again and I think it'd be great to log my activities for my Senior year at Champlain college. One project I'd like to log is Game Engines Design and Innovation. Towards the end, we will have to create our own engine for a very specific component we'd like to implement into a broader spectrum. For instance, I'd like to create a small A.I. engine for someone to tweak. This may be extremely over scoping for one semester, but I love to watch A.I. at work and if I were to make something like Unreal's behavior tree blueprints, then I'd be pretty satisfied. To work on this mini engine, I plan on using the bare bones Integrated Development Environment of Visual Studios in C++. Visual Studios is very versatile environment that will allow access to whatever resources I would need in the future, Like a graphics library. I'm excited to see how my project will turn out. On of my most favorite projects I saved for last is Yggdrasil, a first person shooter in a post apocalypse world run by nature. There are small amounts of people scattered along map, all trying to survive as well. You have to learn how to choose between saving people and saving the environment to keep the balance of the ecosystem itself. This project will be the capstone for me and my team. I'll post more in the future.
